Yang Li
Visiting CSC PhD Student
Yang is a molecular and environmental microbiologist exploring how abundant marine bacteria regulate the production of the important antistress molecule DMSP in response to environmental changes. Her research is combining physiological and molecular characterisation of model marine roseobacters to elucidate key environmental factors influencing DMSP synthesis, such as temperature, salinity and nitrogen status; the regulatory proteins involved and their mechanism.
