Shah Md Tamim Kabir
Aries PhD Student
Tamim is skilled in bioinformatics and microbial ecology. He is invested in sequencing and analysing the genomes of DMSP-producing plants, notably Spartina anglica and Wollastonia biflora, to understand how and why they accumulate such high DMSP levels, and cope with a multitude of environmental stresses. Related to this, Tamim also studies the influence of high-level (S. anglica) and low-level (S. patens) plant DMSP production on their associated microbial communities, their metabolism and influence on the environment.
