Dr. Ji Liu

Senior Research Associate

Ji is studying the significance of microbial DMSP catabolism and climate-active gas production associated to low and high DMSP-producing plants. He is investigating cultivable microbes and their novel mechanisms for DMSP cycling and climate-active gas production in diverse plant environments. He is also using cultivation-independent methods to evaluate the microbial communities, the genes and the enzymes that drive environmental DMSP cycling and climate-active gas production from land plants and the impacts of a changing climate.
